Schmalenbach Business Review

The Schmalenbach Business Review - sbr - is the international edition of the oldest and most prestigious German journal of business, named "Schmalenbachs Zeitschrift für betriebswirtschaftliche Forschung" (zfbf). sbr's goal is to publish original and innovative research. The journal covers topics especially in accounting, finance, marketing and organization, but is open for further subjects. Thus, sbr attempts to bring together the most important management areas. This approach of not specializing in one specific subject, such as accounting or finance, stands in the tradition of German business research journals.

The sbr is edited by an international board of editors which guarantees a high standard of published articles. Besides the managing editor, Wolfgang Ballwieser, the editorial board comprises German as well as international specialists for finance (Günter Franke, Ernst Maug, Kjell Nyborg, Erik Theissen), accounting (Stephen Penman, Alfred Wagenhofer and also Wolfgang Ballwieser), marketing (Karen Gedenk, Peter Leeflang), taxation (Ulrich Schreiber), organization (Arnold Picot) as well as the President of the Schmalenbach-Gesellschaft (Clemens Börsig).

sbr is published in January, April, July and October.
